- Welcome Home - Apartment Living in the U.S.
6:00-7:30 pm, International Student Center
Join representatives from ISSS and the Tenant Affairs office for a free pizza dinner and an informative and entertaining discussion about the do’s and don’ts of leasing and living in a U.S. apartment. This session is for all students living in Jardine and in off-campus apartments.
- A Day in your Residence Hall
5:00-7:00 pm, Derby Dining Center
This session will help undergraduate students living in the residence halls understand what living and eating at K-State will be like. This session is for all students living in the residence halls.

- ISSS Shuttle
9:00am-8:00 pm, International Student Center
International Student and Scholar Services will have a free shuttle available to take new international students shopping for supplies, for tours of the Manhattan area, or to the Social Security Administration Office. The van is limited to 6 passengers and seats will be available on a first-come basis. Students must sign-up for this shuttle 15 minutes prior to the shuttle departing. Interested students should sign-up at ISSS.

Returning students and community members will lead small groups of new international students to local restaurants. Meet in the Moore Hall lobby. There we will divide into groups and walk to Aggieville where each group will decide where to eat dinner. Students will be responsible for paying for their own dinner

Take the OIP shuttle to visit Wal-Mart and the International Food Store to pick up any items you might need to start the semester. A truck will also accompany the shuttle to help haul any large items, such as furniture, back to your residence hall. Want someone to show you where all your classes are? Volunteers from throughout campus will take students around to show you where you need to go to be prepared for your first day of classes. *Please bring a print-out of your class schedule
- Living in Manhattan with Children
3:00pm-4:00pm International Student Center
Come to the ISC to meet current international students who are here with their families. This is an informal social hour to get ideas for resources and activities for your children. If you live in Jardine, you can meet at Frith Community Center at 2:45pm and walk as a group. Of course, children are welcome!
- Purple Pride
5:00pm International Student Center
At K-State you will be surrounded by “Purple Pride.” Come hear from Kari Nap, Office of Admissions, and some U.S. students about what it means to be a wildcat, why you see so much purple, and who “Willie” is. After this fun session, staff will walk with you over to the Bill Snyder Family Stadium for the “K-State Kick Off.” Those events include: 6:30pm Free BBQ 7:15pm Pep Rally for new and current students Lots of great prizes will also be given away during the K-State Kick Off as well!! For those wanting a true “U.S. college experience,” this is it!!
