Department: Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital
Position is part-time, benefits eligible. Hours are variable and rotating.
Application materials will be screened using the following preferred requirements for skills, experience or educational background: Experience in Vet Med ICU or emergency care, experience with animal restraint and handling and general veterinary technician experience. Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in a veterinary hospital setting or one year experience in an intensive care or emergency care Veterinary Technician position. Must be physically able to handle, restrain and provide medical services to domestic animals. Ability to perform technical tasks associated with emergency medical care and to instruct students to perform tech procedures with limited direct supervision. Must be willing and able to master new techniques. Hours of work will be variable and rotate. Must be able to work one weekend a month.

Department: Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital
Hours for this position are variable, 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Application materials will be screened using the following preferred requirements for skills, experience or educational background: Anesthetic experience, veterinary anesthesia education/training and veterinary hospital or clinical experience. Prefer one year full-time experience in administration of anesthetics in a veterinary setting; or graduation from a nurse anesthetist program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). This position is responsible for providing technical services to the Anesthesiology Section in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. A primary mission of the Hospital is to provide quality medical services for teaching, research and clients within the surrounding area. Quality, professional technical representation in the Anesthesia Section is critical to providing services to support this mission.

This is a night shift position in the Equine agricultural practices sections. Clinical teaching and/or supervisory experience will be an asset. Must be able to physically handle, restrain and provide medical services to large domestic animals and work with KSU-VMTH equipment. Requires knowledge of standard emergency veterinary medical procedures. Ability to perform endoscopic procedures, clean and maintain equipment needed.
